Forefront TMG doesn’t work after installing Exchange 2010 SP1

I can confirm that Forefront TMG doesn’t work after installing SP1 for Exchange 2010 if you’re having TMG, Forefront Protection 2010 for Exchange Server and Exchange Server 2010 Edge bundled on one server (like promoted by Microsoft).

With the installation of the Service Pack 1 for Exchange the powershell command “Get-AntispamUpdates” gets removed.  Forefront TMG still uses this command. As a result of that, the Forefront TMG Managed Control service won’t start up.

At the moment there seams to be no solution from Microsoft for the issue. If you maybe have on please comment on that blogpost.

Update:

I have opened a Microsoft support call this morning. I already got answer from Microsoft a couple of minutes ago. Currently this behaviour is reproducable within Microsoft and has been filed as a “bug”. Microsoft is currently working on an hotfix for the Get-AntispamUpdates issue. I’ll inform you as soon there is the hotfix for download.

Update 2:

The final hotfix from Microsoft is ready for download: You’ll find it here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=695d0709-0d8b-45ee-afdb-727c4428ca4d
